💼 What I'm working on

At work, an internal merchandising app at M&S.

On the side I've started making a site called Croydon Chicken Mile just for a laugh — to celebrate the best chicken shops in the country. There's a serious amount of talent out there and someone has to document it.

Also have created my first ever API - The Pub DB. It still needs a lot of work but it's a start. The idea is to create a database of pubs in the UK.

🤖 What I'm learning

Kind of obsessed with Claude Code at the moment and trying to actually integrate myself into the AI ecosystem rather than just messing about with it. Also still slowly chugging away at Spanish.

📖 What I'm reading

Just finished reading Hitler, Stalin, Mum & Dad by Daniel Finkelstein - amazingly written but haunting too. My favourite blog at the moment is Cultural Capital by James Marriott.

And I've just started the second volume of the official Margaret Thatcher biography by Charles Moore.

✈️ What's next

Well I've just got back from Japan so there's a need to book another holiday. Maybe Montenegro (new country) and then Athens? Loving all the hot sunshine this year in London but also could do with some cooler nights.
