Today is the last day to register to vote.  Clearly I would rather everyone vote Tory, but it is more important that people are involved. It takes just 5 minutes to register. I am not sure. I never had chance to vote for Thatcher. But I am similarly excited.  I don’t know why because it is only a local election, but I think seeing images of people across the Middle East willing to die to get democracy makes me remember that we are so lucky to have the freedoms and opportunities that many people in the West take for granted, and I feel proud to have our democratic system and I am not going to let my opportunity go to waste.
